We were taking in small and large livestock, but we are switching gears now and focusing more on cows and birds. Until further notice we will not be taking in any additional animals on the farm except for calves, cows and birds. We are taking in birds, such as but not limited to chickens, geese, ducks, guinea hens, turkeys. We will gladly help you find a homes for your other farm animal(s).
We are a small farm established in 2017 in Maine where we started by selling our extra chicken eggs and Alex's handmade items. We are now located in Stafford Springs, CT. We strive to keep the farming industry alive by getting the younger generation involved. We want to get them excited about agriculture.
We are a family-owned farm we started in Maine but, the Navy took us to Connecticut. We found a home with some land and moved our small farming operation. Jake had served in the US Navy for over 20 years with the submarine service. Alex keeps the day to day running while Jake fulfils his duty to the Navy. She couldn't do it without DJ, is a strong young man who is a big help to mom while dads working or sometimes deployed.
Both Alex and Jake grew up around livestock and worked on their family farms and other farms around them as children into teen years.

YES! You a can bring treats, the cows love most fruits and veggies there favorites are orange 🍊 bananas 🍌 both with the peel on, apple 🍎, they also eat beats, cucumber 🥒, broccoli 🥦, pears 🍐, peaches 🍑 don’t worry about cutting anything we have a knife and we can chop anything and hand it off to you. They also enjoy popcorn, donuts 🍩, baked goods, anything above can also be something bruised or browning, if it’s to far gone we can compost it for you, they also enjoy horse treats, we do typically have some on hand. If you bring something they can’t have maybe the birds or pigs will enjoy it. Also if you have any food that’s going bad and want to compost it feel free to bring it we are happy to compost it for you.
We book our appointments back to back so when your time is up thats it. Even the last appointment we need to be punctual for or farm chores and feeding. Or sometimes we have our own appointments we need to get to as well.
We suggest wear close toed shoes, that you don’t mind getting dirty or boot. When it’s during the rainy season it can get muddy in the pen. Some people like to wear clothes they don’t mind getting dirty others like to wear their cow themed shirts or their cow cuddling shirt they got from us! (Yes we also have cow cuddling shirts for sale)
Check the weather before coming, and dress accordingly.
Our cow cuddle pen is not covered. It’s up to you if you want to postpone an appointment due to weather. The only times we have canceled appointments is when it’s not suitable for the cows (a down poor) when they won’t be as happy. Or if the pen is too wet and muddy from an excess amount of rain.
